- Keep the mic 6-12 inches from your mouth.
- Wear headphones during calls so echo cancellation has less work to do.
- Turn off fans or AC that add steady background hum.
- If the level bar barely moves, check the correct device is selected.
FAQ
Questions people ask before a test
Some background noise, fan hum, or room echo is normal and will show as a small amount of movement. If the bar is jumping high with no sound at all, check that the correct input device is selected and that nothing else on your system is also using the mic.
